Removing hyperlinks for selected slider images/Read More text

When using slider images (Appearance > Slider Setting) , clicking on an image or clicking on the Read More text link in the side text panel moves you to the page you specify in the Slider link field.

Is it possible to remove both of the hyperlinks (image and "Read More") for a specific slider image?

I noticed if you leave the "Slider Link Text" option blank and the "Slider Link" field blank, the template automatically inserts the "Read More" link and defaults you to the home page if you click it. The same happens with the image.

Hello,

Sending front-page.php through mail.
Go to Appearance > Editor
open front-page.php file and replace it with the file sent.

After that paste this code in Custom CSS
Appearance > Theme Option > Styling Option > Custom CSS

display: none;
}

Just to make sure... This will allow me to remove both of the hyperlinks (on the image and the "Read More" text link) for a specific slider image. I do not want to remove the links to ALL images.

The solution provided above will remove the links from all images and read more button, Please do let me know in which slider image (slide number) you want to remove link, So that i will provide you exact solution.

 

We have five images (1,2,3,4,5). We want to remove the links and the read more text from images 1,2,3,4..... only 5 will have the read more and the link to another page on the site.

Just one last question. When this theme is updated, will these changes be lost?
It looks like the modification involved removing the <a href> for the image and slider text on the applicable slider images..

While updating theme all changes done in .php file will lost.
In the case of "Elitepro theme" updation is not that much required, if your current version is working fine.
