Removing info from blog posts

Hi- I would like to remove the noted "posted by" and the categories, etc from my blog posts. Ideally I would just like the date here and then on the sidebar only have a search option and archive just to keep it clean. Thanks.

Thanks. Here is a screenshot of how it is posting. I just want it to say, "posted on" and the date. I may activate comments later on but don't want that to show up near the posted on... Then on the sidebar, I would like to remove everything that is there and only have a picture that is static near the top right and then under that have the search option.

The 2nd screenshot is a sample reference of the layout I am speaking of.

Thanks. How do I edit the photos? Also on the main blog page it is displayed correctly but when I click on the blog entry and am redirected to the post, it still has "by, Kristin and also the categories. Can these be removed and the categories not be listed but still workable for searching?

Lastly can the social media share options be changed?

I just want to remove the stumbleupon and digg and add a few others if possible.

Also when I click the related categories and publish nothing happens. I mean when I then search for the word (such as yoga) it comes back with nothing can be found. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Thank you. Still having trouble categorizing blog posts. For example when I check "beauty" category to a post and publish, it will post correctly. however when I go to the search option and enter "beauty" it won't pull up that particular post but it will search for the word "beauty" throughout my site. Attached screenshot for reference. Am I doing something wrong? Is it possible to just search blog posts in the search option?
