Dear Guys, can you help me one more time (then I leave you alone..) The search engines are not finding my new site. When you type in eurobiketrans, the site is not shown, but the results are shown as: urlm.co.uk/www.eurobiketrans.co.uk When I type in eurobiketran.co.uk, I find the site but the description is: A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt – learn more. So in the coding/text on the site there is some robot.txt to prevent the search engines finding it - can you have a look please and tell me how to remove the robot.txt Thanks you so much. I don't want to be the Invisible Man any more, kind regards Tony
I have been looking in Youtube to se if I can get any guidance and they suggest loading a plugin called WP Robots TXT, Ive done this but it hasn't brought up an option in Settings called Privacy, so I don't know what to do now, I can go into the Wordpress code in FileZilla but I don't know what to charge - please can you help. When I look into http://www.eurobiketrans.co.uk/robots.txt it shows this on screen, User-agent: * Disallow: /wp-admin/ Disallow: /wp-includes/ which looks OK to me so don't know why I am getting these problems? Thanks for guidance. Tony
Hello Tony, Robot.txt exist in the root directory. Please remove it from there. Or send your FTP detail. We will remove it. Thanks & Regards Nitesh Raghuwanshi
Hi Nitesh Can I send you my FTP FileZilla login name and password by a private email so that not all readers can gain access to my root directory. If you could remove this for me that would be great, thank you Tony
Sorry Nitish can you give me your email address please to send you user name and password, thanks Tony
Please provide your FTP detail at [email protected] I will check and resolve your issue. Thanks & Regards Nitesh Raghuwanshi
Hi Guys do you think that you can go into my root directory and take out the Robots.txt for me, I earlier provided my FileZilla FTP sign on details by email. Please check that the search engines are finding my site when you have deleting the txt. Thanks a lot, Tony
