I've searched the forum but can't find the answer. I know how to get the search widget on the sidebars of my lower level pages but how/where do I put the search widget/form onto my SquirrelTheme Pro home page? Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

    Go to the
    Appearance > Widgets
Drag "Search" widgets and drop it in the first widget area, It will automatically display at your footer.

    Thanks & Regards

Thanks Gourav, but your suggestion did not work. I tried placing it in each of the widget areas and checked visibility to show if "front page" and still it did not show up. I have it on the primary widget area for all secondary pages but I can't get it to show up on the home page. I have first footer display off as I don't need that space. I would prefer to have the search box nearer the top of the Squirrel theme front page. Thanks.

    Hello,

Unfortunately there isn't a way to add searchbox at the top with this theme unless you custom code something up. Sorry.

But you can display it in the footer widget area on the home page by the instruction provided by Gourav in the above post.

We have checked your website it seems that you are using your static page as a front page and turned off the Theme default front page,
and also you are hid the footer section through custom css code due to which the footer section is not displaying.

So remove the code shown in the image given below from the custom css section of your dashboard.

This will display the footer section.
If you want to see it on your home page then set the theme default front page.

The home page you are seeing is the old one. I have not activated index.php yet since the site is not finished. You are seeing index.html. I have the first footer turned off because I do not have a need for all that space. The second (bottom) footer is all I need for this client. I will try to hard code it into index.php as you suggested.
    Thanks.

    Hello,

It is not possible to turn off only first footer widget and display all other.
But you can remove the content of first footer widget area,
Go to the Appearance > Widgets panel in your dashboard and drag & drop the text widget in the first widget area and then
paste the code given below in content area of text widget.

    Code:
    <p></p>
This will make the first footer widget area blank.
