Hi, We have created our text domain file and in it we have covered all the text strings for both backend and frontend in one single file. So you won't need to create a separate file for the same. Let me know if you have further any doubts.
yes, but i think that will more easy to translate the frontend and use english as a backend... most of the directory themes use like that.
