Show a few new blog posts on static front page

    Hi Guys,

    At the moment i'm using a static front page on my site http://www.jordansbestellen.net

    It would be great if i could show like 5 of my recent blog posts beneath the static front page.. at the moment wordpress allows me to either show a static front page, or a page with blog pages..

    What i want on the front page is:

    --- STATIC FRONT PAGE ---
    -- show 5 recent blog posts --

    Is it possible to do this ?

    Hello,

    Adding recent post on static page require lot of customization.
    You can show recent posts at the footer widget area.
    With the help of "Special recent post" plugin
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/special-recent-posts/

    It will allow you to show your recent posts with thumbnail.
