    Hi

    I have been using Colorway for years now and like it. I updated WordPress for one of my clients and have lost all the comments on the "feedback" page at http://wheathampsteadppg.org.uk/feedback/.

    Under discussion "allow comments" is ticked so not sure why they are no longer showing. Can you help please?

    Hi,

    I have just visited your provided URL, and found that comment section is missing from your page.

    It seems that some of the plugin may conflict with the comment functionality or you did any customization at your end.

    Kindly de-activate plugins and check.

    Must let me know if you did any customization, so that I can help you.

    Regards!

    Hi Nitin

    Thank you for replying. I have de-activated all the plugins and still get the same result. I have a suspicion that a newly installed plugin (ClickPress) may have been part of the problem as there are no other changes apart from the recent WordPress update.

    The theme is Colorway 3.2.3. I did try to updating to a later version of Colorway but I think some of the new features in the latest version meant that it did not work out with features boxes overlaid on top of sliders.

    Under Theme Options/Styling Options/Custom CSS the following code is entered:

    .home_content h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6{
    color: 29327d;
    font-family:'Verdana';
    }
    body.page{
    font:16px;
    }

    Thanks for your help

    Mike

    Hi Nitin

    I like the increased functionality of the update, however I am unable to edit it! Previously I had a testimonial on the home page that I was able to edit through Theme Options\HomePage Testimonial Setting. This was replaced by some example testimonials - the only way I could get rid of them was by turning the Home Page Testimonial Setting to off - therby losing the original testimonial that was there in the previous version of Colorway.

    I also need to edit the footer of each page which currently features "About Theme", "Colorway", "Our Gallery" and "Contact Us". How do I do this?

    Also the updated theme still does not solve the problem of the feedback page not showing comments.

    Hi,

    Greetings from InkThemes,

    It would be our pleasure to serve you. We would be assisting you one-by-one in the series of your queries.

    1. Regarding the Testimonial section, it would be better for us to understand your concern if you could elaborate a little what you want to achieve.

    2. Regarding the editing of footer, you need to make changes by editing the theme. Please follow the video link given below: -
    http://screenpresso.com/=PsgMc

    3. Regarding not showing of comments, kindly visit (Dashboard ->Settings -> Discussion) of your dashboard. You can change the various settings for the display of comments as per your requirements.

    Note :- For your information, I am using "WP-Editor" plugin to edit files.
    You can also download and use it from the link https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-editor/.
    After activating this plugin, you will get the same screen as shown in the screenshot.

    Hope it will resolve your issue

    Thanks & Regards!

    Hi Nitin,

    1. Testimonials - in the previous version of colorway there was one testimonial displayed on the home page, the new version has 3. If you enter one then the theme automatically populates the others with names images and testimonials for Ink Themes. To remove them I typed a space in each of the boxes but there is still an image placeholder. I would like (a) no image place holders and (b) just one testimonial across the width of the page rather than a third column.

    2. Footer - Thanks for the video, however I removed the theme placed widgets by entering a blank text widget rather than using WP-Editor (it worked).

    3. Comments. (Dashboard ->Settings -> Discussion) has not been changed since the problem arose. I looked at this and it is allowing comments. I then re-looked at the feedback page and this has comments allowed. I would really like to get this resolved.

    Thanks

    Mike

    Hi Nitin

    Thank you for your speedy reply. Regarding Testimonials I have entered the code as instructed. This removes two of the three testimonial columns which is good but I wanted (a) no image place holders (there is one below) and (b) just one testimonial across the width of the page rather than in a third page width column.

    Regarding Comments if you go to Wayback machine at https://web.archive.org/web/20140522032227/http://wheathampsteadppg.org.uk/feedback/ you'll see that comments were displayed on the page previously. Since then I have updated WordPress and the theme, not changed anything else but the comments have disappeared. I have now disabled all the plugins but the page at http://wheathampsteadppg.org.uk/feedback/ is not showing any comments. I would just like it to look as it was before.

    Thanks

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

    Greetings from InkThemes,

    We are always here to help you.
    • Regarding the testimonial section, paste the code given below in Custom CSS section
    (Appearance -> Theme Options -> Styling Options -> Custom CSS) of your dashboard.
    Code:
    .testimonial_item_content .testimonial_item img {
           display: none;
    }
    .testimonial_item_content .testimonial_item {
            width: 1115px !important;
    }

    • Now, regarding the comments, for your information, it may happen that some of your plugins are conflicting in your site,
    You are requested to deactivate all of your plugins once and check you site's again,
    Then activate one by one your plugins checking result on each activation,
    Hope this will let you figure out the messing up plugin.

    Do let me know if you need further assistance,

    Thanks & Regards!

    Hi Nitin

    Once again, many thanks for the quick reply. Regarding Testimonials I have entered the code as instructed. This removes the image place holders and now there is just one testimonial across the width of the page rather than in a third page width column, which is exactly what I wanted. However, there are two empty areas (I assume for further testimonials) that push the footer down about 700-800 pixels down the page so that it is not visible. Could custom code be created to show just one testimonial and no space for any others?

    Regarding Comments all the plugins have been de-activated for the last three weeks - it was the first thing I did to establish the problem which still remains; i.e no comments showing on the page at http://wheathampsteadppg.org.uk/feedback/ . Therefore I assume that the problem is not a plugin but the WordPress update as per my original post.

    Thanks

    Mike

    Hi Marcos,

    I am glad to inform you that - ColorWay WordPress Theme version 3.6.4 is now available.

    == Changelog ==
    = Theme Name: Colorway Premium =

    =Version: 3.6.4 =
    Feature box css distract issue fixed.

    =Version: 3.6.3 =
    1. Slider Shortcode Option Removed From Theme And Add Twelve Slides Show Option In Home Page Slider

    Download the ColorWay theme by logging in your members account:
    http://inkthemes.com/members/member

    Next, you have to extract the zip file and rename that folder colorwaytheme like colorwaytheme_new,

    Again, you would need to create a zip file of that renamed folder (say: colorwaytheme_new.zip),

    Now, upload the theme in your WordPress from Dashboard->Appearance->Themes->Add New,

    Then, activate your theme,

    This way you can install and activate your updated version in your site, keeping the copy of your older version in your WordPress

    Hope you find it helpful,

    Enjoy your theme:)

    Thanks & Regards!
