I had 5 Homepage Featured listings setup for testing purposes before. The home page slider was pushing them from right to left one at a time. Now after upgrading the theme the slider is bouncing back and forth. What changed and how do I change it back?
Found it and fixed it already... In the front-page.php file the wrap call was changed to 'both'. I'm not sure what 'both' means exactly but I changed it back to 'circular' and changed Auto back to 3 (default is 1 second). It would probably be a good idea to add these settings to the Theme Options section. Especially if there are more than 2 options available for the carousel slide action. Many of us are manually editing that front-page file which means we have to make those changes again every time there's an update.
Unfortunately there isn't a way to do that with our theme unless you custom code something up. Sorry. If this isn't something you're able to do then you would need to hire a developer for this. Take care.
If it's not possible to offer a selection in this theme, then can it be returned to the way it used to work with the slider pushing right to left? The jumping back and forth that was introduced in ver 1.6.5 is really annoying to everyone I've shown it to.
I agree, I've also changed the wrap parameter and it works far better without it jumping back to the beginning. I now have a list of manual updates to carry out on each release of the theme! The same old stock answer from support just is not good enough in this instance, it is do-able and should be strongly considered by the developers. They should be listening to their customers as this sort of visual annoyance on the front page can make or break a web site!
To make front page slider circular go to the front-page.php and make changes as shown in image. Note: In previous versions slider was at circular mode but it was creating some issues with the Samsung android phones that's why we have changed it to the mode currently it is. In current version, when you click last listing navigation, slider will scroll back to the first listing.
I am having the same issue. Could you please explain how to fix. The image you used to show how to make changes did not show on my computer
yep - me too - I don't like the jumping slider - very distracting - takes away from the clean feel of the site thanks for the fix please go back to previous version in the next update!
We have tested it out and the circular mode in Sliders doesn't work quite good on Samsung Android devices. Do the changes at your own risk. Thanks Neeraj
