Slider on HomePage

Please instructions how to install the slider on the home page (with shortcode) instead of map.

 

There is no shortcode for the listing slider, if you are asking for adding a different slider then, let us know.

I have 2 WP plugins that generate shortcode for sliders.

This slider is set to a test page, I would like to install on the Home page:

Alright, you can use the shortcodes as shown below in the header.php file of the theme.

<?php echo do_shortcode('[your_shortcode]'); ?>

Code I did not put in the header.php file, but I put in the front-page.php file.
Now it looks great.

I think he is using, WOW slider.

 

WOW slider plugin with paid WowSlider program to create sliders.

Thanks, its just that on your homepage I saw the following code snippet in the page source:

PHP:

<?php echo do_shortcode("[huge_it_slider id='1']"); ?>

and thought it was Huge-IT's slider?

I'm going to look at both sliders anyway and try them out if I can.

This is not the correct code because the page is displayed in the Child Geocraft theme and setting is done in the parent theme. The correct code you see in the picture below.

Thanks yes that clears it up.What did you find were the optimum image sizes to use?

 

For optimal size photos I measured on a computer screen and trying out:

- For slider I used dimensions 1200x400 px.

- For a photo gallery of the business listing dimensions are 650x420 (this point I saw somewhere in the comments).

- For photos in the ad text I use photographs width of 720 px.
