Hi, I recently purchased the GeoCraft theme, and it promises to be a great theme, with pretty much everything I need. However, there are some issues that I am facing, and it would be great to get some help on them: 1. A user submits a listing, which is published by the admin. If the user edits the listing, the original listing goes back into pending mode. Ideally, the original listing submitted should remain active, and the notification should come to the admin stating that that the user had edited his/ her listing which needs to be validated and moderated again. No such notification is generated either. 2. The email notification on creating a listing is from [email protected]. How can that be edited to an email of my choice. Also, how can the text in the email be edited? 3. For a free listing, some fields not displayed in the front end (eg. description). How can that be enabled? 4. I am unable to out a value of 0 for any often paid listings. I would like to give the users a flavour of all the features before charging them for it. How can I do that? 5. How can we add INR in the currency options page. 6. In the add listing form, what are the image specifications that are needed for upload? They should be mentioned next to the image upload link. Right now, in most cases, since it is not specified, the images are getting stretched. 7. How can we enable the free listings to also see the leads they have received in their dashboard. Is there a notification that goes out to a business owner when he/ she receives a lead? What email does it go out from? Thanks
Hello Dhirender, 1) We have not added such feature in the theme because suppose if i am an admin for a site which have 50, 60 listings then it is good to receive listing edit info through mail but if i have 1000 or more then 1000 listings then mails for each listing edit are just a headache for me. So i think it is good to go through the site dashboard and check pending listings. 2) For this you need to edit WordPress default mail function. Go to the www\wordpress\wp-includes\pluggable.php and make changes as shown in the image. 3) For this go to the geocraft settings > custom fields edit listing description and check to enable it for free listing. 4) Paypal do not support zero. So it is not possible to set zero for paid listings. You can manually set free listings to paid through admin panel. 5) We have integrated Paypal payment system in the theme and Paypal do not support INR. So it is not possible to add it. 6) Images below dimension (460 x 280) will stretch. You can add description through custom fields geocraft settings > custom fields edit select image and add description in the description field there. 7) Only paid listing owner can access leads in there dahboard. it is possible for free listing. Mail will be sent to the mail id through which listing owner registered to the site.
Thanks Nitesh, This helps. Had one more query. What is the admin dashboard like? On logging in with my admin username and password, I am getting the defaut WordPress dashboard. This does not give me a holistic snapshot of the site, i.e. number of leads for the various listings, the number of leads for each listing, total number of listings, pending items, etc. Is there a GeoCraft admin dashboard, and how can I enable that? Hello Dhirender, After logging in as a admin Go to the Geocraft settings > Leads capture There you will get detail about leads captured.
