Sort Order

Thank you for such a terrific theme!

How are the listings on each page sorted? It is not alphabetical by business name, which is what I would expect. Is there a way to do that?

 

The listings are sorted on the basis of time. The most recent listing shows on the top.

If you want to sort the listings based on your requirements, I would suggest you to try the "Post Types Order" Plugin.

Thanks for the quick reply, Nitesh. Since the time stamp doesn't show on the business listings, the reader can't appreciate that sort order and wonders why the order is "random".

I'll check out the plugin you suggested, so I can sort the listings alphabetically by name.

 

As a follow-up, Nitesh, your suggestion worked quite well. I downloaded the "Advanced Post Types Order" plugin and installed it. I had to purchase the Advanced version for $25 because the free plugin won't automatically sort - only manually. Now my listings are nicely sorted alphabetically by business name.
