How do I add space between the sidebar and the page content?

To add the space, please paste the code given below in Custom CSS section
(Appearance -> Theme Options -> Styling Options -> Custom CSS) of your dashboard.

Code:

.content_wrapper .content {
    padding-left: 20px;
}
