Split Homepage Feature Area On Business Grow Theme Into Two Columns

On the Business Grow theme, I would like to split up the Homepage Feature Area into two columns. I have attempted some obvious modifications focusing on using divs to create a container and individual columns, but it hasn't worked. Please advise.
