I would like to offer a suggestion and any of you who feel we could all benefit from this please chime in.

Can you please add 2 Sub-Topics to this Forum?
    1. Marketing Your Directory Site
    2. Helpful Addons and Plugins
This will give all the GeoCraft Directory site owners 2 places that we can brainstorm and help each other out by offering feedback on what we have done or added to make our directory site better or more lucrative.

It would also give the Staff here a place to post suggested plugins or addons like you have already done but more "sticky". Like the plugin that allows us to reorder the categories for example.

Well, I for one don't mind posting ideas or actual methods that I use to market my directory site. Most of them are intended to be local sites and there are so many towns and cities around the world that it would be very unlikely that two people using this GeoCraft theme are targeting the same town/city.

As for the Helpful Addons section, I have already spent money on one specific type of plugin more than once to try and find that one that does everything I need it to do. Recommending that one plugin could save people a lot of time, money, and headaches. I also found another plugin that adds a nice touch. Having a specific Topic to post those kinds of things means we won't get dinged for posting links.

I think people would participate and I certainly don't mind getting things going. Got some ideas I want to toss at you guys, too. For example, has anyone done any testing on prices for Featured listings? I'm still not real sure what to set those prices at. I don't want it to be so cheap that half the business owners purchase it. It needs to be more exclusive or it loses its value. But at the same time I don't want to over-price it so nobody buys it.

Setting the price breaks does pose some issues, I wonder if anyone has a site up and running that we can all have a look at or any ideas on pricing.

Can we do split testing in some way to test what works and what doesn't?

Anyone else care to put some ideas forward?
