Top Bar Welcome (User) - not linking to My Account page

Hello - when logged in, the link when clicking on my username in the top menu bar does not go to the My accounts page. It is linking to the current page/#. Please help.

Also, how can I remove the categories and shop from the home page? I would just like the sliders and a call to action button beneath it.
