I am new to InkThemes and Traffica. The usual advise is to make modifications to a theme through a Child Theme so that installing a new version to the theme does not wipe out the modifications. In your replies to forum issues, you tell members to change the theme files (CSS, PHP) to resolve issues. Is there a problem or disadvantage with using a Child Theme with Traffica? Or is it just easier to explain in this forum? Are there any special things to be done to make a Traffica Child Theme? A Note: A very handy tool would be a reference that maps the major home page elements to sample page image and to their CSS labels.
Hi, I am giving a brief information about the Child theme. Basically, child-theme is used to preserve your customized code. For example, if you are applying any customized CSS code in your theme options, it might be lost if any fault occurs to your website or your website deleted accidentally. You will have to write the customize CSS code again. But if you have your child theme, then there is no need to write the code again. Hope the information will be helpful to you.
