Hi team, I have another thread open regarding obtaining Arabic classcraft theme. But while I'm waiting, I'm trying to come up with a solution, so I installed WPML plugin to translate the theme. It seems there are problems with the theme as well as not all of its content strings are getting translated. I'm unable to translate some strings. For example, the following strings either are not picked up by the string translation search tool or the string is found, but there seems to be more than one instance of the same string, so the translation is reflected in one instance only. Sample Strings from the site: "Leave comment for this ad" "Recent Ads" "Add New Classified Ad" "Next" "login" "log in" and more. I'm using up to date theme, classiCraft theme v 1.1.5. I'm using up to date WPML plugin I have tried the following: 1. I went to WPML–> Theme and plugins localization - Scanned the theme for strings - Clicked on "View strings that need translation", but didn't find the missing strings. - Clicked on "View all the themes' text", but didn't find the missing strings. 2. I went to WPML–> String Translation - I searched for the full strings using exact match option. - I searched for single words from the missing strings without the exact match option. - I performed the searches for "All strings" and "All contexts" - I performed different searches with different selection options Kindly, help with this issue. Hi Gourav, I opened a ticket with WPML and reported the same issue. And after they checked my site they responded with the following: You can not find other strings to translate in String Translation, because your theme author does not follow the guide from WordPress Codex to translate strings (Gettext method): + http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Filter_Reference/gettext + http://codex.wordpress.org/Translating_WordPress + http://wpml.org/2009/05/wordpress-theme-localization/ WPML informed me they are contacting you to notify you of these issues. This guide seems to have been missed for parts of the theme and the default side bar widgets that came with the theme itself. To make this worse, I had reported translation issue with this theme 6 months ago and WPML contacted you about the some strings. I was then advised to downloaded a newly released version of the theme which is supposed to address the translation issues. Now, after 6 months and countless hours of work I find the same issue yet again with the theme ... very disappointing. I request the following: 1. Kindly, reply to WPML queries ASAP. 2. Make an effort to follow Wordpress Codex guide to translate the strings ... all theme strings. It is very frustrating to find this kind of issues that could have been avoided. Hi Gourav, When will the new update be available? This issue is a show stopper and I can't proceed without the fix. Simply, there are too many strings that couldn't be translated due to not following proper industry standards when it comes to localization and internationalization. Also, I'd like to mention one more thing ... since this issue came up 6 months ago and you released a new version back then to address string translation issue, but the fix didn't include all strings, can you make sure this new version release covers all strings in the theme? Given the long wait time for this kind of fix, I don't want to delay the project any longer. As I said, this is a show stopper and my project has already been delayed long enough. If a fix won't be available soon, please suggest a workaround. I appreciate your cooperation. Thanks, Mike
