    Hi.

I'm going to upgrade ColorWay theme in our WordPress network with 4 websites. It is critical to us to keep all the theme's settings and minimize the downtime.

Can you please confirm that upgrading from 2.1.5 to 3.2.1 will keep settings in place? If it is not so, then can you please make a list of settings that will be lost and that we will have to re-enter immediately after upgrade?

P.S. In case you need this info, we already run the latest version of WordPress.

    Regards,
    Anton

    Hello,
Your theme option content and custom css code will remain intact while the Theme update but if you have make changes in php files (like header.php, sidebar.php ,footer.php..etc.) of theme then you will loss your changes while the Theme update.
To avoid this lose you can use child Theme.
    Follow the link for reference

After creating child Theme and make all your required changes in the php file of child theme and then update your Parent Theme.
Follow the link given below to update your Theme.

    This will solve your issue.

Thank you for your detailed answer.
I've not changed PHP files, so the only thing I wanted to know is whether our settings may be lost or not.

Okay, I've tried to update the theme.
    All menus are lost.
Please consider it is a bug and fix it in next versions.

    Thanks,
    Anton

    Hello,
This is not the bug, and you have not lost any setting.
Just go to the Appearance > Menus Panel in your dashboard and select your main menu and save it.
