I have Themia v2.1.4 installed on a WordPress installation. When I look at my account, my "Active Resources" list shows Themia v2.2.1. I suppose it would be a good idea to upgrade. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a one-click upgrade option for this theme. Are there special instructions available to guide me in such an upgrade? Are there inherent risks with upgrading? Thanks.
You can find the steps here: https://www.inkthemes.com/community...-2-1-version-is-available-for-download.18876/ I hope you find the information helpful. Regards! Naveen Kolhe InkThemes.com
That seems like a cumbersome process to undertake, but if that is what is required, I will do it. Will I lose any of the work I have done already - content and navigation menu, for example? EDIT (1):- Okay - I figured it was silly to assume that activating the upgraded theme should cause any harm, so I went ahead with the upload process as advised. In my Available Themes page I now see two Themia themes. I appear to have successfully activated the new version of the theme. Unfortunately the new theme has blitzed some of the configured items that I had spent a good deal of time putting in place - notably the images that were shown in the slider on the front page. I am losing patience and faith in this product. How do I preserve these settings in migrating to the new version of the theme? EDIT (2):- I gave up on any slick way to migrate the logo and slider images, so I re-acquired them and uploaded them into the new theme. However, although the custom log is now displayed, the Home page is still missing the slider and its images under the new version of Themia. Also the "feature boxes" and the video box are missing. I don't care about the video box but it would suggest that there is something wrong with the theme. Or is there a setting where I can control these items? How do I re-activate the slider images? EDIT (3):- I also notice now that the regular (non-blog) pages have the notification "Comments are disabled". Of course they are disabled! - they are standard pages. This has to be a bug. Can you please fix this in the theme?
Hi, Greeting from InkThemes, We need WordPress admin credentials to configure it. Kindly send the below-mentioned credential details at [email protected] along with the thread link. WordPress Website URL: - WordPress Username: - WordPress Password: - We will do the needful. I can understand you but this is not a bug, It displays comments are closed, means no one allowed to comment on the page content. If you don't want this then we will remove it via source code. Do let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards, Akbar InkThemes.com
>I can understand you but this is not a bug, It displays comments are closed, means no one allowed to comment on the page content. This is a change to the behaviour in the previous version of the theme. There is no indication that comments would ever be allowed on the page so to announce that they are disabled is extraneous. It's clearly standard WordPress functionality that has crept back into the new version of the theme. The sliders have now appeared, so I guess you guys fixed that. Can you please advise what you did so that I can be best placed to avoid the problem in the future? For example, was there something wrong in the way in which I uploaded the latest version of the theme?
I see also now that there is a banner advert on the home page of the website - advertising "All our themes for $147". This is ironic, because all I want right now is for just one theme to work properly and predictably. But I do not want a banner advert. Why is this there? Where did this come from, please? And how do I remove it? EDIT(1): Good news! I have found this setting - it's a new section in the control panel.
I see also that there is a mysterious piece of content at the foot of the home page, announcing "Our Recent Products". I have no idea what this is about and it is gibbersih as far as I can see. I have uploaded a screenshot snippet. What is this section of text? Why has it appeared? How do I get rid of it? EDIT(1): Good news! I have found this setting - it's a new section in the control panel.
I notice that when on the Home page, the navigation buttons for both "Home" and "News" (blog page) are highlighted. Is this a bug in the theme?
We are checking the issues on your site and will get back to you soon. Your patience would be appreciated. Regards! Naveen Kolhe InkThemes.com
