Video Thumbnails Not Appearing for Category

I have uploaded 5 videos with Youtube Links.

How come no photos appear on the main page for categories?

I am using WordPress 3.5

 

It shows up on the category page (http://thememaverick.com/theme_reviews/videocraft/video_cat/climate_change/) just not on the main page

Thumbnails appear on the front page main widget area only if I use the default categories of "Entertainment", "Sports", "media".
For any custom video categories it does not work.

So nothing wrong the videos I uploaded; is there some special way to create video categories?

 

This is absolutely silly.

The thumbnails works for some categories but not others.

If I add a video category through the Category management page, it does not show thumbnails.
If I add a video category through the add category on the add video page it does show thumbnails sometimes.

Also as you can in the link below, one category "Climate Change" still shows no thumbnails even though there is a video in that category.

Keep "Name" and "slug" same while creating category.



It will resolve your issue.

 

what if my name has a space in it? like "New Photos". The slug can't have spaces. What do I do then?

 

Write your full name there, the slug automatically create text with dash in place of space.

For example

Your name: New Photos

the automatic slug generated by the system give "new-photos".
