I know I've seen the other 2 threads on this and didn't really find an answer that seems to be working (or my lack of understanding of Wordpress may be the culprit) Anyways, I'd love to know what I can do to fix this, as it seems to only show up for me in chrome. Here's the site in question (this is on a clean wordpress install) http://trackshuntingandfishing.com/login/ Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/content/28/9639128/html/tracks/wp-content/themes/subscribelytheme/header.php:10) in /home/content/28/9639128/html/tracks/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 896
Hello, It is usually because there are spaces, new lines, or other stuff before an opening <?php tag or after a closing ?> tag while uploading the file through ftp or editing the file, typically in header.php. This could be true about some other file too, so please check the error message, as it will list the specific file name where the error occurred (see "Interpreting the Error Message" below). Replacing the faulty file with one from your most recent backup. See the link given below for reference. http://wordpress.org/support/topic/warning-cannot-modify-header-information-100 I hope it will help you.
Yeah, I''m looking directly at the code on line 10 of Header.php and I see none of these things wrong with it. Can you please help me?!?! I need to get underway on this site without the errors from a fresh install. PHP: <?php/*** The Header for our theme.** Displays all of the <head> section and everything up till <div id="main">**/?><!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"><html <?php language_attributes(); ?>> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <title><?php/** Print the <title> tag based on what is being viewed.*/wp_title('|', true, 'right');?> </title> <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=0" /> <link rel="profile" href="http://gmpg.org/xfn/11" /> <link rel="pingback" href="<?php bloginfo('pingback_url'); ?>" /> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" media="all" href="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_url'); ?>" /> <?php if (inkthemes_get_option('inkthemes_keyword') != '') { ?> <meta name="keywords" content="<?php echo inkthemes_get_option('inkthemes_keyword'); ?>" /> <?php } ?> <?php if (inkthemes_get_option('inkthemes_description') != '') { ?> <meta name="description" content="<?php echo inkthemes_get_option('inkthemes_description'); ?>" /> <?php } ?> <?php if (inkthemes_get_option('inkthemes_author') != '') { ?> <meta name="author" content="<?php echo inkthemes_get_option('inkthemes_author'); ?>" /> <?php } /* Always have wp_head() just before the closing </head> * tag of your theme, or you will break many plugins, which * generally use this hook to add elements to <head> such * as styles, scripts, and meta tags. */ wp_head(); ?> </head> <body <?php body_class(); ?>> <!--Start Header Wrapper--> <div id="header_wrapper"> <!--Start Container--> <div class="container_24"> <div class="grid_24"> <!--Start Header--> <div class="header"> <div class="grid_10 alpha"> <div class="logo"><a href="<?php echo esc_url(home_url()); ?>"><img src="<?php if (inkthemes_get_option('inkthemes_logo') != '') { ?><?php echo inkthemes_get_option('inkthemes_logo'); ?><?php } else { ?><?php echo get_template_directory_uri(); ?>/images/logo.png<?php } ?>" alt="<?php bloginfo('name'); ?>" /> </div> </div> <div class="grid_14 omega"> <!--Start Menu wrapper--> <div class="menu_wrapper"> <a href="#" class="mobile_nav closed"><?php _e('Page Navigation',THEME_SLUG); ?><span></span></a> <?php inkthemes_nav(); ?> </div> <!--End Menu wrapper--> </div> <div class="clear"></div> </div> <!--End Header--> </div> <div class="clear"></div> </div> <!--End Container--> </div> <!--End Header Wrapper--> <div class="clear"></div>
Message me and I can even give you FTP access to see if you can find the problem because I'm starting to get pretty annoyed with a template straight from download to a fresh install of WP and it doesn't work straight out of box.
