where to paste google ads code

I want to add google add code

 

I usually place a text widget in the appropriate sidebar and paste the adsense/advert/link code in there.

Hello,

For 728*90 ad. Open "front-page.php" file and add your Google ad code at line number 115 and 272. As shown in the image.





And for small size ad. As suggested by rogerb Add text widget in the "Home Page Widget Area" and add your ad code in it.
