Wide home page header gap

Is it me but the gap between the featured listing heading and the two search fields above is excessive i.e. its about an inch on my screen - don't know how many pixels that is but its too large!

 

Yeah, that could be tightened up a bit to push everything up the page some.

 

Hope support and developers are listening!
