Widen content box on subsequent pages

Is there a way to widen the content box that is on subsequent pages of the website? The homepage is full width across the entire screen. I would like the content box to be full width too or at least increased a lot. Thanks.

Please paste the code given below in Custom CSS section (Appearance -> Theme Options -> Styling Options -> Custom CSS) of your dashboard.

Code:

.content-wrapper {
    margin-left: -135px;
    width: 908px;
}

Change the numeric value as per the requirement..

Hi and thank you. This did not result in any change, even when I changed the numeric values.

 

Okay, I was able to figure out this code and it worked:
.content-main {
margin-left: -260px;
width: 1600px;
}

My only worry now is, with these changes, will the content pages still be responsive and show up appropriately (centered, etc.) for smaller desktop screens, iPads and mobile devices? Thank you.

 

Okay. Even with that code, it is still not quite what I want. I want the content area to be full width, just like the home page. On the home page, the slider and content areas are all full width with no boxed content. This is what I want on my content pages. See attached photo. There is also a line that I would like to get rid of. You can see the line I am speaking of in this same image. I have circled it in red. Thank you.
