Anyone else had this? if I add some html to a text type of widget I'm not sure if wordpress or Geocraft adds extra text to the link which breaks it. This works on the home page and links to an internal page correctly even though the html does not have the domain name in the beginning: http://www.inboston.co.uk/listing/advertise-your-self-organisation-or-product-here/ HTML: <a href=listing/advertise-your-self-organisation-or-product-here/><img src="http://www.inboston.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/Advertise-Here.jpg" alt="InBoston Adverts"><br><br>Contact me for more details of position (on page or sidebar) and monthly costs.</a> BUT If I place the same code in a widget on any other page such as the listing pages the link has extra code such as: http://www.inboston.co.uk/http://www.inboston.co.uk/listing/advertise-your-self-organisation-or-product-here/ This of course generates an error page! Any ideas why this happens and is there an easy fix for this? Thanks Roger B
Hello Roger, Greetings from InkThemes! I have checked your site and not able to figure out the extra code, so could you please send us some edited screenshot of the concerned area so that we can assist you accordingly.. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks & Regards! Priyanka InkThemes.com
OK Priyanka, http://www.inboston.co.uk/ is the web site. Please see this video I've made to illustrate the problem Thanks Roger
Hello Rogerb, I have checked your widget code and would like to inform you that you have entered the wrong link within the href tag and there was your cache issue as well.. I have corrected all the things on your site and now everything is fine. Kindly check your site and acknowledge the same.. Do let me know if you need more assistance, Thanks & Regards! Please be a little more specific about the href link issue Prikanka as I did this with the cache disabled and I cannot see any changes made to the widget code whatsoever. The widget code worked perfectly on the home page and was copied and pasted to the listings page (and other pages) widget where it gave the error. I'm not known for making silly mistakes apart from when debugging and trying to find a workaround!
Hello Rogerb, There were just some simple mistakes in your widget area as I have mentioned in the below screenshot, please have a look.. And yes after correcting them still I got the same error, so I just turned off your cache and after that everything was perfect... Hope you will get it instructive... Thanks & Regards!
