google fonts issue

I just visited your dashboard and would like inform you that you are on an old version of theme. The issue you are facing of fonts not working is because of the cufon fonts in the theme. In the latest version of the theme you will get an option to enable/disable Cufon font. I think this is a better and the simplest way for you to fix the issue.

Kindly download and install the latest version from the member's area. Always be sure to keep the backup of your theme before updating.

ok - I had to update the Compass theme a while ago and got the instructions below from your support

Hello,

Here are the steps involved in doing so:

Download the theme by logging in your members account:

http://inkthemes.com/members/member

Next, you have to extract the zip file and rename that folder Compasstheme like Compasstheme _new,

Again, you would need to create a zip file of that renamed folder (say: Compasstheme _new.zip),

Now, upload the theme in your WordPress from Dashboard->Appearance->Themes->Add New,

Then, activate your theme,

This way you can install and activate your updated version in your site,

 

also - why do your themes have to be manually updated?

many other themes I use show updates in the admin and it is a simple click to get the newest version

As I checked your site it seems that you have again enabled the cufon and that's why you are facing such type of issues..

So, I would like to suggest you to please disable the cufon and check after that..

Here's the screenshot of the file (below) where you have to disable the cufon.

the cufon was never removed from the http://smartartshosting.com.au/southside/ site

so do I need to update the theme or not?

 

ok - removing the cufon from the custom.js file did the job

fonts are now all working
